Nature, whose sweet rains fall on just and unjust alike, will have clefts in the rocks where I may hide, and secret valleys in whose silence I may weep undetected. She will hang the night with stars so that I may walk abroad in the darkness without stumbling, and send the wind over my footprints so that none may track me to my hurt: she will cleanse me in great waters, and with bitter herbs make me whole.
WELCOME TO TRANSITION BUXTON
Transition is very much a grass roots movement. The idea is to enable people to get together with others and work on projects that will help the community to thrive even as we adapt to cope with oil shortages, high energy prices and climate change.
Here in Buxton we have groups working on a range of projects - a community orchard, improving the energy efficiency of our houses, producing more food locally, encouraging bertter use of public transport and cycling - find out more on the Groups pages.
For more information about why we need to do this, check out the Peak Oil and Climate Change pages.
We hope you will feel inspired to join us and look forward to seeing you at an event very soon.
