PATTERN MAKING WORKSHOP

THURSDAY 18TH APRIL 7:30-9:30PM

UNITED REFORMED CHURCH, BUXTON
We come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, but patterns don't! This session will help you make a basic pattern for a simple garment or adjust the patterns you have to fit you perfectly. The workshop is free to attend, but we do accept donations. Numbers are limited, so you do need to book your place - Contact Penny by email or call 077 696 27133.
This is the last of the current series of sixteen workshops that Transition Buxton have run since January. We hope to circulate details of the next series very soon.

FUN WITH FABRICS - KNIT, CROCHET, DARN, REPAIR

THURSDAY 7TH MARCH, 7:30-9:30PM

CENTRAL BUXTON

This is the second of a series of workshops that will teach you the basic skills to make and repair a whole range of fabric and textile items. We already did 'Hand Sewn Patchwork'.

This session will cover Darning, Knitting, Crochet, Repair. How often do you throw out a favourite jumper because some of it unravelled, or it has a hole in the elbow? If you have something like this that needs repair, bring it along, learn how to make it good to go. If you want to learn the basics of knitting or crochet, come along and we’ll get you going.

FUN WITH FABRICS - HAND SEWN PATCHWORK

THURSDAY 28TH FEBRUARY, 7:30-9:30PM

CENTRAL BUXTON

This is the first of a series of workshops that will teach you the basic skills to make and repair a whole range of fabric and textile items.

Hand sewn patchwork is suitable for beginners as well as those who already sew. Learn English pieced patchwork and a 'quilt as you go' technique. Bring some lightweight cotton type fabric and a basic sewing kit if you have them, but don’t worry if you don’t. Make a pot stand or start a quilt to finish at home.
