Appointments
Directors are appointed for a term of two years. They can be reappointed for further two year terms subsequently.
Transition Buxton currently has four directors of a possible nine. We are awaiting photos of Jane Reynolds and Matthew Eglin.
Additional Directors are sought to increase our capacity and resilence – please get in touch if you’d be interested in learning more.
Previous directors are Robin Edwards, Charles Huff, Veronica Hawthorn, Jean Ball, Charles Jolly, Derek Bodey, Janine Morris, Jilla Burgess-Allen and Janet Miller. We thank them for their valuable contribution to the organisation.
Transition Buxton (TB) is a community interest company, focused on a sustainable future for Buxton. We have broader ambitions and are pursuing a major local, renewable energy generation project, which we feel will need a separate, independent organisation, with a different legal form. While TB has a number of active volunteers, we are seeking to strengthen leadership and governance, and are looking for directors/leaders for the new organisation, particularly those with financial/investment experience and technical knowledge of renewables. This short paper is an invitation to join these local groups at an exiting time in their development.
