Transition Buxton is proud to be partnering with The Crescent Heritage Trust and Buxton Museum on the Made in Buxton project.
We are keen to discover the stories of what and how things were made here in the past, today, and what skills and opportunities we need to build for a resilient future less dependent on global supply chains. The project includes a range of creative workshops, talks, explorations, and experiences between February and October 2026, mostly free.
A key outcome of the project will be a beautiful stitched, layered map of Buxton illustrating the industries, crafts and people of Buxton.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page and the Crescent Heritage Trust website over the coming months as the project rolls out and come along to the sessions that might interest you and your family or business.
Meanwhile, our Stitch Don’t Ditch sewing workshops and Repair Café continue to offer skills sharing and the Library of Things has lots of tools you can borrow if you want to have a go at making something.
